JOB SUMMARY:
Finishing and Packaging Engineer is responsible for developing finish and packaging system across Williams Sonoma furniture. Establish and maintain Williams Sonoma finish and packing standard, testing process as well as monitor actual execution in production.
Work with vendors and coating suppliers to reduce furniture returns for quality and damage issues. Educate WSI personnel and coating suppliers, as to what constitutes an acceptable WSI finish and eco packaging.
Explore new coating technologies and eco packaging system.
You will interact with PD, QA, Lab and Supply Chain Operations to implement new initiatives, modify specifications and identify more efficient finishing & packaging.
