ERM is seeking experienced and enthusiastic professionals for its Liability Portfolio Management & Remediation (LPMR) Team. The primary goal of this role is to support the Project Manager in planning and executing various projects and ensuring that the Client’s expectations are met or exceeded through technical excellence, innovation, and efficiency.

The successful candidate, who is expected to have a solid technical and consultancy background, will be assigned in multi-disciplinary projects within the Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Information Technology Sectors, to name a few.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Desktop Responsibilities include, but not limited to, support in proposal and report preparation,

  • Field Responsibilities include, but not limited to, subcontractor supervision, health and safety supervision, and performance of the technical scopes of a project.

  • the following: Conduct field work, including but not limited to, soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water sampling, aquifer testing, drilling oversight and soil logging, soil boring and monitoring well installation, well development, purging and sampling, and construction oversight.

  • Subcontractor supervision.

  • Assist in data interpretation and preparation of site work plans, spreadsheets, figures, and technical reports.

  • Focus on team project delivery, taking directions primarily from Project Managers.

  • Communicate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities, etc.

  • Environmental site characterization – geologic & hydrological profiling and modeling, constructing conceptual site model (CSM)

  • High level knowledge of environmental regulations, both local and international

  • Must be able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

  • Excellent writing and analytical skills

  • Typical projects include, but not limited to, the following:

    • Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments

    • Detailed site investigation/characterizations

    • Remediation assessments, feasibility studies, and pilot scale implementation

    • Full scale remediation & site closures

    • Decontamination, decommissioning, and demolition

    • Environmental compliance audits

    • Regulatory reviews

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, or related discipline; Master's degree is a plus.

  • At least 1 to 3 years of experience in environmental consultancy, preferably in undertaking Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and/or soil and groundwater investigation and remediation projects

  • Knowledge in contaminated site characterization, its basic elements including geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, contaminant fate and transport, and conceptual site model.

  • Knowledge of relevant environmental regulatory requirements and compliance.

  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.

  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Interpersonal skills, safety and team orientation.

  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.

  • Very good computer skills (Microsoft Office, GIS, CAD, or similar).

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel.

  • Environmental field work experience and H&S certification a plus.
