The GrabFood Demand Planning Strategy team is an established team responsible for strategizing demand and growth strategy for GrabFood Indonesia. Get to know the role
We are looking for a Data Analyst to drive analysis in order for us to find opportunities by measuring initiative results, providing insights, and solving problems.

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • You will work with large data sets and derive business recommendations through compelling statistical evidence-based research and visualization.

  • Run SQL queries, provide reports or updates

  • Define key metrics to evaluate the health of our business teams & programs

  • Discover & drive program initiatives through data driven recommendations and partner with cross-functional teams to implement/launch them

  • Manage data models to bring order and insight to complex data sets

  • Leverage existing Python abstractions and/or other visualization tools to design and develop new user-facing tools & dash-boarding systems to empower partner teams

  • Communicate findings from data and analyses to stakeholders, influencing them to make the best decisions possible

  • Design market intelligence metrics and performance measurement dashboards for GrabFood

  • Develop frameworks to analyze business problems, develop hypotheses, mine data, deliver recommendations, and assess impact of proposed solutions

  • Perform analysis & research plans to support decision making process

The Must-Haves

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics), or equivalent experience.

  • Advanced written and spoken English

  • 2-3 years of work experience in consulting or a technology-related analytical role

  • Curiosity and passion for Grab

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience solving ambiguous problems using data and providing practical business insights

  • Strong process-oriented skills and drive to find the most efficient way to do things without sacrificing a high quality of work and/or results

  • Proficiency in SQL & Excel

  • Ability to partner cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, operations, product management, and/or sales

  • Familiarity with Python or a similar scripting language for analytical contexts is a plus

  • Experience in working with large data sets and distributed computing tools (Presto, Athena) is a plus

  • Experience in building dashboard with visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI/ Tableau is a plus
