Your Profile

  • Environmental or Safety Engineer, Mechanical or Chemical Engineer or professions related to technology and/or manufacturing.
  • > 5 years of experience in EHS-Management, EH&S or Safety Officer, practical experience in production
  • English, preferably one further language (basics); qualification in technical auditing
  • Clear understanding about the quality requirements and expectation of the customers
  • Understands the objectives and goals of the company
  • Understand about the ISO 9001 and ISO 15378 requirements
  • Understand about the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements
  • Able to carry out hazard identification and EHS risks assessment as well as identification and assessment of environmental aspects of environmental impacts

Your Contribution

  • Responsibility for the integrated management system for safety, security, health and environment (EHS) and compliance to certification requisites
  • Responsibility for occupational safety, health, security and environmental protection
  • To promote the industrial safety and hygiene on all levels of the plant
  • To develop actions for environmental protection with the goal of preventing and minimizing production impact on the environment
  • To drive the process for security and health management (especially the "Zero Accidents" program) for employees on site in order to prevent accidents and minimize risks at work
  • To conduct EHS orientation and retraining
  • To organize and maintain pest control management together with subcontractor
  • To conduct internal audit in the company
  • Plans on behalf of the company, site or division management, the introduction, development and implementation of EHS
  • Coordinates the preparation and up-dating of EHS directives/manuals and procedures
  • Ensures that the EHS standards and regulations are implemented, and that compliance and effectiveness are regularly monitored (audited).
  • Implements modifications to the EHS system (Best Practice),
  • Prepares EHS reports (implementation, monitoring, training, action plan) for the company, site or division management
  • Keeps the Corporate EHS Commissioner regularly informed of the EHS status and consults with him immediately any significant EHS topics arise,
  • Works in close cooperation with any legally required and appointed environmental and safety officers / specialists,
  • Carries out the responsibilities of environmental and safety officers / specialists, if their appointment is not a legal requirement,
  • Informs the relevant managers of the companies or entities, as well as the Corporate EHS Commissioner, of new or amended legal regulations concerning EHS topics,
  • Ensures continuous adherence to EHS requirements in all areas, Is the company’s contact person for all questions related to safety, security, health and environmental protection, Is responsible for the organization of relevant trainings and, if needed, carries them out himself or with the help of company staff,
  • Prepares, when required, the environmental reports/ environmental declarations of the entities / companies for employees, customers, suppliers, and the general public.
  • Supports Corporate Auditing in undertaking audits, Is a member of the EHS organization of SCHOTT.
