SAP is seeking a Legal Counsel to work within its field legal organization in the Asia, Pacific & Japan (“APJ”) region. Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, you will be a part of the APJ legal team and will provide legal expertise for SAP and its business teams, particularly SAP’s sales teams, across the region.
The successful candidate will provide legal advice and support to the licence, cloud and field services sales organizations for SAP’s market and business units in APJ. This will include independently leading in drafting and acting as primary negotiator for cloud services, software licensing and support services contracts, data processing agreements, distributorship and partnership agreements with SAP’s customers and partners. The successful candidate will work closely with other legal colleagues in the APJ region as part of an integrated team and collaborate with sales and services executives, SAP’s sales management, product, pricing and revenue recognition teams and other stakeholders in a time-pressured environment to help achieve SAP’s business objectives in accordance with SAP policies and applicable laws.
The successful candidate will also provide legal advice and counselling on a wide variety of matters, including intellectual property, licensing, data privacy, license compliance matters, employment issues, corporate secretarial matters and commercial disputes. Experience in the Cloud (software-as-a-service) sector is strongly preferred.
