It is responsible for the data collection, planning, analyses, definition, mapping on mass transit, non-motorized transport and transit-oriented development projects.

In defining the public infrastructure of tomorrow, the Transport Planner works across a wide range of projects for public and private clients, within teams of international and national experts (team leader, senior experts, junior engineers, business manager). He/she participates to the completion of assignments upon international standards and coordinates with domestic and international teams as needed.

The Transport Planner supports on general transportation planning assignments for rail and road-based mass transit in Indonesia and South-East Asia. With minimum supervision and guidance, he/she undertakes assigned tasks of the team leader and business manager with agreed methods and added-value suggestions. Among the main technical tasks are demand forecasting and modeling, urban insertion analyses, multi-criteria analyses, selection of technologies, baseline operational planning, cost benefit analyses, benefits analyses among others.
Additionally, the Transport Planner covers in support of the team the preparation and management of data collection and surveys, analysis and management of data, analyses of existing transportation conditions, engagement and training for stakeholders, participation to design of transportation systems. He/she also participates to the elaboration of innovations in engineering methods and tools.
He/she is required to punctually support the management by leading meetings, managing production on specific matters, assist with planning and resources management, commercial contract management, methodology for technical proposals, diligence, identification of commercial opportunities, and others. Other responsibilities can later be considered depending on performance and adaptability.
Profile
Requirements: Curiosity and hands-on attitude to address innovative challenges.
Education Level: Masters degree in transport engineering and planning, urban planning, transport systems or other fields obtained from a reputable university. Foreign diploma(s) are an advantage.
Experience: Having 5 years of relevant experience in transportation studies/urban planning. Experience in a consultant firm or governmental body. Professional experience outside Indonesia is an important advantage.
Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal, written). Knowledge of urban transit political and institutional landscape in Indonesia. Experience with GIS and transport modelling software is highly desirable.
Language/s: Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English
Other Requirements: Team-oriented and client-oriented with clear, positive and accountable attitude. Flexibility to handle tight deadlines, manage priorities, and travel to domestic and South East Asia. Necessary to be methodical and have an attention to detail but staying open and positive.
