The specialist will be responsible to protect Lazada Indonesia activities and its ecosystem users against any risk-related matters. He/she will be the in-country subject matter expert for Indonesia-based operations, handling risk-related matters such as but are not limited to assortment and content compliance to the platform and country’s regulation including prohibited and controlled goods, ads and user content, intellectual property rights, and brand protection.

Reporting
The specialist will be reporting to the Head of Business Risk ID.

Detailed roles and responsibilities
  • Advise various internal stakeholders on seller and product-related business risks, with emphasis on prohibited and controlled goods, IPR, Ads and content risks.
  • Optimize assortment governance rule & algorithms through data driven analysis as well as develop cutting edge tactical/strategic solutions to enhance better assortment governance and non-compliance detection.
  • Develop and execute relevant standard operating procedures to ensure highly efficient and effective operations.
  • Support the registration, claims, complaints, and disputes for intellectual property right holders.
  • Handle escalations and conducting investigations for incidents.
  • Conduct research, analysis, reporting on performance, and identifying trends in assortment governance.
  • Partner with other functions such as Customer Care, Platform Governance, Commercial, Logistics, etc. to identify, assess and manage risks.
  • Partner with Regional, Product and Business teams to drive improvements in risk strategy, product capabilities that supports operations.
  • Develop and communicate insights and recommended actions to stakeholders to manage risk by contributing towards machine learning models, rules and other detection systems.
  • Be source of truth for risk metrics in the organization and own their logic as well as monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain alert mechanisms and automated outputs which keeps stakeholders aware of movement and deviations of key metrics.
  • Play role of a data-driven strategic partner to risk related decisions in his/her area and is considered to be the subject matter expertise.
Job Requirements Qualifications & Skills
  • At least >4-5 years + of experience with hands-on risk / compliance management
  • Experience in data analyst/internal auditing role in an e-commerce or tech company is a plus.
  • A technical degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Sciences, Maths or risk management is more preferred but not a must.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to prohibited and controlled goods will be highly desirable.
  • Experience in working with government, compliance, or regulatory agencies is a plus.
  • Strong experience in handling large scale unstructured data. Advanced Excel and/or data analysis tool is required
  • Experience in SQL or other data handling tools, as well as ability to learn more advanced data is more preferred but not a must.
  • Excellent English and Bahasa Indonesia written and verbal communication skills is a must.
  • Ability to make sound and logical judgement calls independently when presented with difficult decisions, especially when only partial information is available.
  • Ability to take initiative in a fast-moving environment.
  • Able to work independently but also an advocate for team player
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in collaborating with different business functions and key stakeholders.
