About the Role


If you’re looking to learn in a dynamic, highly-analytical team who enjoys digital marketing and analytics, look no further. As a Digital Marketing Intern for Merchant Marketing, you will be learning the reins in digital marketing strategy and merchant optimization for multiple merchant-facing products. You’ll get the opportunity to contribute and push world-class digital marketing campaigns that directly impact SME growth.

Working closely with Product Marketing and Community teams, you’ll be in charge of GoMerchants marketing activities that utilize ad platforms, including social media and other display advertising campaigns.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in digital marketing strategies & execution across multiple small business audiences on multiple media platforms (e.g. Google, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and programmatic platforms)
  • Assist in preparing & executing paid media campaigns in various channels, including but not limited to: event/community acquisition, and social media ads
  • Develop a weekly reporting from paid media campaigns using Google Sheet & Google Data Studio
  • Collaborate with the Product Marketing & Community teams to support paid media campaign projects
  • Optimize & analyze digital marketing campaigns and deliver new ideas to improve the campaign performance

What You Will Need

  • Open to students in a penultimate year and fresh graduate
  • Familiarity with digital marketing best practices, and up-to-date with the trends
  • Have a basic knowledge of Digital Marketing Channels (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or TikTok Ads) and Analytics Tools (Google Analytics)
  • Excellent analytical thinking and have capacity to learn and work with databases and technical systems
  • Available for at least 3 months period of internship

About the Team

Our Performance Marketing & Intelligence for Merchant Marketing has 12 members based in Indonesia. With our work heavily guided by numbers, we target and nurture merchants, not only for Gojek’s continued success but also the growth of SMEs in Indonesia. For instance, our past projects include merchant audience segmentation, lifecycle strategies, conversion rates and acquisition cost improvement. So if these subjects connect to you, we are your people!

Currently, we are working on acquiring merchants by developing varying digital marketing strategies. Moving forward, we are aiming to grow the home business base, on top of big merchants.

As a team, we take pride in what we do. We’re concerned not only with the growth of merchants at the company, but also each other’s personal and professional growth. Along with our Group Head, our team bonds over our shared passion in developing our merchants. We are a tight-knit group made up of introvert, extrovert, doers, thinkers, and the in-betweeners: Foodies? Athletes? Podcast-listeners? Avid readers? Bakers? We work hard and play hard, and believe it or not, we actually enjoy each other’s company!
