Responsibilities

  • Support the assembly of plated dishes during peak service hours, following recipe specifications and presentation guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels of perishable and non‑perishable items, reporting shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
  • Participate in daily kitchen briefings, contributing ideas for menu improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper storage temperatures and cross‑contamination prevention.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, verifying accuracy against purchase orders.
  • Engage in basic cooking tasks such as grilling, sautéing, and boiling under the guidance of senior chefs.
  • Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during shift changes and busy periods.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report any malfunctions to maintenance promptly.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: Diploma (D3/D4) or SMK equivalent, preferably in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Open to fresh graduates; prior kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong teamwork orientation and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discipline, responsibility, and a neat, professional appearance.
  • Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule (e.g., 1‑day on, 3‑days off) including weekends.
  • Basic cooking skills and a genuine passion for food preparation.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg as required.
