Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Kitchen Assistant to join our fast‑growing restaurant operation. This pivotal role supports the head chef and kitchen team in delivering high‑quality dishes while maintaining strict standards of safety, hygiene, and efficiency. The successful candidate will work on a full‑time schedule, Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and will be required to reside on‑site to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the head chef in daily food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and slicers, ensuring they are clean and functional.
  • Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on proper techniques, timing, and presentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, and conduct regular stock checks to prevent shortages.
  • Enforce food safety and sanitation protocols in accordance with local health regulations.
  • Prepare mise en place for each service, ensuring all stations are stocked and organized before the start of the shift.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to suggest cost‑effective ingredient alternatives without compromising quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of waste, spoilage, and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Support menu development by testing new recipes and providing feedback on feasibility and efficiency.
  • Assist in training new hires, fostering a culture of teamwork, honesty, and rapid problem‑solving.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail, honesty, and a quick‑thinking attitude.
  • Willingness to live on‑site (mandatory accommodation).
  • Must be single and not older than 26 years.
  • Both male and female candidates are welcome.
  • Must be Muslim or Muslimah (as per company policy).
  • Commitment to a minimum employment period of 1 year.
  • Required documents: job application letter, updated CV with personal data, recent photo, photocopies of KTP, family card (KK), and latest diploma.
  • Key soft skills: reliability, teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to work under pressure.
