Introduction
We are a rapidly growing specialty coffee brand looking for a dynamic Barista Head – Pengelola Tim Kopi Profesional to lead our front‑of‑house team. This pivotal role blends hands‑on coffee craftsmanship with strong leadership, ensuring that every cup served reflects our commitment to quality, consistency, and memorable customer experiences. The successful candidate will work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, in a vibrant café environment that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily coffee service operations, ensuring all beverages meet brand standards for taste, presentation, and temperature.
- Train, coach, and mentor a team of junior baristas, fostering a culture of skill development and accountability.
- Develop and maintain detailed SOPs for espresso extraction, milk steaming, and equipment cleaning.
- Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and ancillary supplies, placing orders as needed to avoid stockouts.
- Conduct regular quality control checks, tasting sessions, and equipment calibrations to guarantee product consistency.
- Create staff schedules, monitor attendance, and handle shift‑by‑shift performance feedback.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and front‑desk teams to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to recommend menu enhancements or promotional initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in accordance with health regulations.
- Represent the café at local coffee events, competitions, and community outreach programs.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate degree) or equivalent; high school diploma (SMA) acceptable for strong candidates.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Head Barista or Shift Supervisor.
- 2–3 years of hands‑on experience working as a barista in a specialty coffee setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of espresso machine operation, coffee bean sourcing, and latte art techniques.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members.
- Highly responsible, honest, and disciplined with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to motivate and develop junior staff, fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere.
- Experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry is preferred; fresh graduates with high motivation are welcome.
