Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Professional Midwife with a strong background in maternal and child health to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, providing both routine and emergency services in a collaborative setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive antenatal assessments, including risk identification and health education for expectant mothers.
- Assist senior physicians and obstetricians during curettage procedures, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques and patient safety protocols.
- Respond swiftly to obstetric emergencies such as postpartum hemorrhage, fetal distress, or pre‑eclampsia, performing life‑saving interventions under supervision.
- Provide first‑aid and basic life support to patients in critical situations, maintaining accurate documentation of interventions.
- Coordinate prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care plans with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, pediatricians, and social workers.
- Educate families on newborn care, breastfeeding techniques, immunization schedules, and postpartum recovery.
- Maintain and update patient records in accordance with hospital information systems and regulatory standards.
- Participate in regular training sessions, quality‑improvement projects, and community outreach programs focused on maternal‑child health.
- Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and a culture of honesty and responsibility within the workplace.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by offering support, sharing knowledge, and adapting to both individual and group tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Midwifery, Nursing, or a related health science field; D3 qualification also acceptable if aligned with competency standards.
- Active Surat Tanda Registrasi (STR) registration with the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in obstetric care, preferably in a hospital or maternity clinic setting.
- Proven ability to assist in curettage procedures and manage emergency obstetric situations.
- Strong first‑aid and basic life support skills, with certification in BLS/CPR considered a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse gender identities.
- Demonstrated reliability, honesty, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Flexibility to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with the national health care system and patient management software.
