Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and reliable Cashier – Frontline Customer Transaction Specialist to join our fast‑paced retail environment. This role is the face of our brand, handling cash, electronic payments, and providing exceptional service to every customer who walks through our doors. Responsibilities
- Process all customer transactions quickly and accurately using our point‑of‑sale (POS) system, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked checkout area to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
- Verify pricing, apply discounts, and handle returns or exchanges in accordance with company policy.
- Answer customer inquiries, resolve minor complaints, and direct more complex issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, preparing detailed reconciliation reports for management.
- Collaborate with sales floor staff to restock merchandise, manage promotional displays, and ensure seamless store operations.
- Adhere to all safety, security, and hygiene standards, including regular cash handling procedures and fraud prevention protocols.
- Assist in training new cashiers, sharing best practices for efficient transaction processing and customer engagement.
- Work flexible hours from Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, and be prepared to handle peak‑hour traffic with composure.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in a cashier or similar frontline retail position.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to converse clearly and courteously with customers of diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and a high level of personal responsibility.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Capacity to remain calm and effective while working under pressure, especially during busy periods.
- Proficiency with standard cashier systems and basic computer literacy.
