Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Community Officer to join our dynamic team in Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur. This role is a cornerstone of our mission to empower low‑income women through financial literacy, small‑business support, and community development. As a trusted liaison between our organization and the local community, you will help bridge gaps, foster trust, and drive sustainable economic growth for women entrepreneurs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular field visits to households of low‑income women, building strong relationships and providing personalized business mentoring.
- Deliver practical financial‑literacy workshops covering budgeting, simple bookkeeping, disciplined savings, and effective debt management.
- Facilitate group‑based micro‑finance disbursements, ensuring transparent processes and no collateral requirements.
- Monitor loan repayments, assist clients in maintaining timely installments, and intervene proactively to resolve payment challenges.
- Listen attentively to client needs, assess individual circumstances, and recommend tailored solutions such as additional training, market linkage, or alternative financing options.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress reports, and financial transactions using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Collaborate with internal teams—including product development, risk management, and marketing—to continuously improve program design.
- Represent the organization at community events, local government meetings, and partner gatherings to raise awareness of our services.
- Provide feedback to senior management on emerging trends, common obstacles, and success stories that can inform strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Female candidates aged 18‑33 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3 or S1 degree is a strong advantage.
- Passionate about social interaction, networking, and community outreach.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
- Strong adaptability, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field while maintaining high levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned area and work a standard schedule of Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑17:00.
