Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present a wide variety of menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety practices, ensuring compliance with local health regulations.
  • Manage mise en place efficiently each day, organizing ingredients, tools, and equipment for smooth service.
  • Collaborate with fellow cooks, sous‑chefs, and front‑of‑house staff to coordinate orders and meet guest expectations.
  • Adapt quickly to high‑volume periods, delivering consistent dishes while working under tight time constraints.
  • Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and assist in ordering fresh supplies to minimize waste.
  • Participate in menu development sessions, offering innovative ideas and feedback on flavor profiles.
  • Train junior kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, safety protocols, and effective workstation organization.
  • Conduct regular equipment checks, perform basic maintenance, and report any malfunction to the kitchen manager.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment throughout the shift.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: D3/D4 in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional cooking experience (entry‑level to seasoned) within a restaurant setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey instructions clearly.
  • High level of honesty, reliability, and personal responsibility.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Resilience to work under pressure during peak service hours.
