Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner with Casemix expertise to join our multidisciplinary medical team. This role is essential for delivering high‑quality patient care while ensuring accurate clinical coding and efficient claim processing in a fast‑paced hospital environment. The successful candidate will work closely with physicians, nurses, billing specialists, and health‑information managers to support the hospital’s commitment to clinical excellence and financial sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical examinations, diagnose conditions, and formulate treatment plans for patients across all age groups.
- Apply Casemix methodology by accurately assigning ICD‑10, ICD‑9‑CM, and INA‑CBG codes to each patient encounter, ensuring compliance with national health insurance regulations.
- Prepare and submit electronic claims (E‑Claim) through the INA CBG’s system, monitoring reimbursement status and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with the medical records department to audit coding accuracy, provide feedback, and implement continuous‑quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, contributing clinical insights that inform resource allocation and cost‑effectiveness analyses.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of evolving health‑policy guidelines, coding updates, and best practices in casemix management.
- Mentor junior physicians and nursing staff on proper documentation techniques and the importance of precise coding for patient safety and revenue cycle integrity.
- Utilize MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to generate reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
- Adhere to strict deadlines, managing workload efficiently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Uphold hospital policies, professional ethics, and the standards set by the Indonesian Medical Association.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Medicine.
- Valid Surat Tanda Registrasi (STR) and active medical license.
- Age not exceeding 35 years.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Proficient understanding of ICD‑10, ICD‑9‑CM, and INA CBG’s coding systems.
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—in Bahasa Indonesia and preferably English.
- Self‑motivated, disciplined, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new healthcare IT systems.
