Responsibilities
- Lead the full product development lifecycle, from initial concept sketches and feasibility studies to detailed design, prototyping, testing, and final production release.
- Develop 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate structural integrity, thermal performance, and reliability of mechanical components.
- Coordinate with electrical engineering teams to integrate electromechanical systems, ensuring seamless interaction between mechanical structures and electronic components.
- Manage supplier relationships, evaluate vendor capabilities, and oversee the procurement of materials and components that meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Prepare and present technical reports, design reviews, and project status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices, design methodologies, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and product optimization throughout the development cycle.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during prototype testing and production scaling.
- Work under tight deadlines, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt to shifting project requirements while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; technical certifications in mechanical or electro‑mechanical engineering are a plus.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in mechanical product development or a related field.
- Strong communication skills – able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Demonstrated honesty, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in team settings as well as work autonomously on individual tasks.
- Resilience under pressure; capable of meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
