Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Guru Bimbingan Konseling Sekolah (SBK) to join our educational team and provide compassionate, faith‑based guidance to students. This role is integral to fostering a supportive learning environment where academic achievement and personal development go hand‑in‑hand. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted mentor, helping students navigate academic pressures, social challenges, and spiritual growth while upholding the highest ethical standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct one‑on‑one counseling sessions with students to address academic, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Develop and deliver individual and group counseling programs that align with the school’s curriculum and Islamic values.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to create comprehensive support plans.
- Organize workshops on topics such as stress management, conflict resolution, and ethical decision‑making.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records, documenting progress and outcomes of counseling interventions.
- Provide guidance on career planning, higher‑education pathways, and skill‑building opportunities.
- Integrate Qur’an recitation and Islamic teachings into counseling sessions where appropriate, reinforcing moral development.
- Participate in school committees, staff meetings, and professional development activities to stay current with educational best practices.
- Monitor student attendance and academic performance, intervening early when warning signs appear.
- Promote a smoke‑free, respectful, and inclusive school culture, modeling exemplary behavior for students and staff.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting the Al‑Qur’an.
- Must be a practicing Muslim (male or female) with a reputation for high moral character (Berakhlaqul Kariman).
- Non‑smoker with a commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Age not exceeding 35 years.
- Basic knowledge of secondary school curriculum (SMA) for administrative support roles (TU) is advantageous.
- Demonstrated empathy, active listening, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
