We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Karyawan Penjualan Toko Bangunan to join our retail team in Malang. This full‑time position involves direct interaction with customers seeking building materials, tools, and home improvement products. The ideal candidate will be a personable, detail‑oriented individual who can balance product knowledge with excellent service, helping our store achieve its sales targets while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assess their needs for construction and renovation supplies.
- Provide accurate product information, recommend alternatives, and upsell complementary items.
- Maintain tidy and organized display shelves, ensuring price tags and promotional signage are up‑to‑date.
- Process sales transactions using the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, handle cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform stock checks, and coordinate with the warehouse for timely replenishment.
- Assist in receiving deliveries, checking goods for quality and correctness, and storing them safely.
- Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to generate daily sales reports, update inventory spreadsheets, and track customer inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and safe shopping environment, adhering to store policies and local safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to customer complaints, offering solutions or escalating to management when necessary.
- Participate in regular product training sessions to stay informed about new building materials and industry trends.
- Ride a motorbike for occasional off‑site deliveries or to assist with store promotions in nearby neighborhoods.
- Work collaboratively with the sales team, sharing best practices and supporting colleagues during peak hours.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: 30 years old or younger.
- Gender: Female (per company policy).
- Marital Status: Unmarried / single.
- Residence: Must reside in Malang or surrounding area.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for basic reporting.
- Driving: Valid motorbike license and ability to operate a motorbike safely.
- Communication: Strong Bahasa Indonesia language skills, both spoken and written.
- Soft Skills: Adaptability to fast‑paced sales environment, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a customer‑focused mindset.
- Availability: Willing to work Monday through Saturday, 07:00 – 17:30.
