Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Kasir Penjualan to join our vibrant retail team in Bangkalan Kota. This role is the frontline of our customer experience, handling transactions, ensuring accuracy, and providing friendly service that keeps shoppers coming back. Responsibilities
- Process all cash, credit, and electronic transactions quickly and accurately using the store’s point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
- Verify product prices, apply discounts, and issue receipts while maintaining compliance with company policies.
- Greet customers warmly, answer product inquiries, and guide them to appropriate departments or promotions.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with store procedures, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a tidy and organized checkout area, including restocking bags, receipts, and promotional materials.
- Perform end‑of‑day cash reconciliation, preparing deposit slips and reporting any discrepancies to the store manager.
- Collaborate with inventory staff to report low‑stock items and assist with shelf‑stocking during quieter periods.
- Monitor and report any suspicious activity or potential theft to security personnel promptly.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new POS features, product knowledge, and customer service best practices.
- Contribute ideas for improving checkout efficiency and overall store performance during team meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Preferably residing in Bangkalan Kota or surrounding areas for easy commute.
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; additional language abilities are a plus.
- High level of initiative and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic numeracy and comfort with handling cash and electronic payment methods.
- Proficiency with standard POS systems; prior experience with retail cash registers is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy under pressure.
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a genuine desire to help customers.
- Flexible to work the scheduled hours of Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate loads (up to 15 kg) when needed.
