Introduction

We are seeking a diligent and customer‑focused Retail Sales Cashier and Customer Service Representative to join our fast‑growing retail operation. This position is pivotal in ensuring smooth transaction processing, maintaining accurate cash handling, and delivering a friendly, professional experience to every shopper who walks through our doors. The successful candidate will work a standard Monday‑Saturday schedule, from 08:00 to 17:00, and will be an integral part of a team that values integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system efficiently, scanning items, applying discounts, and processing cash, credit, and electronic payments.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer, perform end‑of‑day reconciliation, and report any discrepancies immediately.
  • Greet customers warmly, answer product‑related questions, and provide recommendations that enhance sales.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policy while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory levels on the sales floor, restock shelves, and communicate low‑stock alerts to the inventory manager.
  • Assist in opening and closing store procedures, including securing cash registers and preparing deposit slips.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout area.
  • Respond to customer complaints or issues promptly, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Work under pressure during peak hours, maintaining accuracy and a courteous demeanor.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge, POS upgrades, and company promotions.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of proven experience in a retail cash handling or customer service role.
  • Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency is a plus.
  • Demonstrated honesty, responsibility, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable handling stressful situations and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with standard POS software and basic computer literacy.
