Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of cake bases, sponge layers, and pastries according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
- Execute intricate cake decoration techniques, including fondant molding, buttercream piping, sugar‑craft modeling, and edible paint application.
- Interpret customer design briefs, collaborate with the lead pastry chef, and suggest creative enhancements while maintaining realistic production timelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, adhering strictly to food safety SOPs and hygiene regulations.
- Manage inventory of decorating supplies—color gels, sprinkles, molds, and edible glitters—ensuring timely re‑ordering and minimizing waste.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of display stations for in‑store promotions, catering events, and corporate orders.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on emerging trends in cake design, new tools, and innovative decorating methods.
- Support fellow team members during peak periods, demonstrating flexibility by working rotating shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime as needed.
- Document production details, including batch numbers, décor variations, and any deviations from standard recipes for traceability.
- Provide courteous service to walk‑in customers, answering questions about cake customization options and offering professional recommendations.
Requirements
- Male candidates, maximum age 35 years, in good physical and mental health.
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in cake decoration or a related bakery role; prior work with fondant, royal icing, and sugar art is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated honesty, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Professional appearance and the ability to represent the brand positively.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a shift‑based environment.
- Willingness to sign a 1‑year contract and comply with all company SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; basic English is a plus.
- Adaptability to fast‑paced kitchen dynamics and the ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously.
