Responsibilities
- Collect parcels and packages from the central depot and deliver them to the specified recipient addresses according to detailed delivery instructions.
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes using mapping tools or personal knowledge of the area to maximize efficiency and meet strict delivery time windows.
- Verify each delivery address before departure, confirming that the location is correct and reachable, and update the system if any discrepancies arise.
- Handle parcels with care to prevent damage or loss during transit, employing proper lifting techniques and secure loading practices.
- Obtain customer signatures or electronic confirmations as proof of delivery, and record any special delivery notes in the system.
- Collect cash‑on‑delivery payments when required, ensuring accurate accounting and receipt issuance.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with dispatch supervisors, receiving new assignments, reporting issues, and providing status updates throughout the shift.
- Keep accurate paper logs or digital records of all deliveries, including timestamps, signatures, and any exceptions, to support audit and performance tracking.
- Assist in occasional pick‑up tasks, such as retrieving returns or bulk shipments from business customers, and transport them back to the depot.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering basic inquiries, handling complaints professionally, and representing J&T Express’s brand values.
Requirements
- Male candidates only, aged 40 years or younger.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Valid Indonesian driving license (SIM C) and ownership of a reliable personal motorbike.
- Demonstrated honesty, discipline, and strong sense of responsibility.
- Familiarity with Surabaya’s neighborhoods; knowledge of local streets and shortcuts is a significant advantage.
- Basic mapping and navigation skills, with the ability to use mobile applications for route planning.
- Good time‑management abilities and a track record of punctuality.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to interact courteously with customers and team members.
- Physical ability to lift parcels weighing up to 20 kg and to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
