Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Mekanik Perawatan dan Perbaikan Kendaraan Bermotor to join our dynamic automotive service team. This role is essential for ensuring that all motor vehicles serviced by our workshop receive top‑level maintenance, timely repairs, and thorough safety checks. The successful candidate will work in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with both senior technicians and service advisors to deliver reliable, high‑quality results for our diverse client base.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pre‑service inspections to identify mechanical issues, wear patterns, and safety concerns on all types of motor vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake servicing, tire rotations, and battery checks in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose complex engine, transmission, and electrical problems using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and computerized scan equipment.
- Execute repairs and part replacements—including suspension components, exhaust systems, cooling systems, and drivetrain parts—while adhering to industry safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service records, update work orders, and communicate findings clearly to service advisors and customers.
- Ensure the workshop adheres to cleanliness, organization, and tool‑safety protocols, reducing the risk of accidents and improving workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, share knowledge, and mentor junior technicians when needed.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, manufacturer bulletins, and best practices through continuous learning and on‑the‑job training.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent technical certification.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, preferably in a multi‑brand workshop.
- Strong mechanical understanding and hands‑on proficiency with diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent communication skills—able to explain technical issues to non‑technical customers and colleagues.
- High degree of honesty, responsibility, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Resilience under pressure, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
