Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Product Specification Specialist to join our dynamic sales and technical support team. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between our company and local contractors, developers, architects, and retail partners, ensuring that our building‑material products are accurately presented, demonstrated, and adopted in the field. This role combines strategic territory planning, hands‑on product demonstrations, and diligent reporting to drive sales growth and strengthen market presence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a weekly target‑area visitation plan that aligns with regional sales objectives.
- Visit local contractors, developers, and architects to introduce new product lines, explain technical specifications, and highlight competitive advantages.
- Conduct on‑site product demonstrations, addressing performance questions and showcasing installation best practices.
- Capture detailed daily visit reports, including photographs, demonstration outcomes, and customer feedback, using the company’s standardized digital templates.
- Perform follow‑up visits to verify purchase completion, collect signed proof‑of‑purchase documents, and update transaction records in the ERP system.
- Maintain accurate transaction logs, ensuring all sales and sample distributions are reflected in the central database.
- Engage in consultative conversations with contractors to uncover product needs, relay market insights, and provide actionable feedback to product development teams.
- Uphold professional relationships with all customers, adhering to the company’s code of conduct and service standards.
- Prepare and submit daily summary reports for supervisory review, highlighting key achievements and any obstacles encountered.
- Participate in monthly performance reviews, analyzing KPI trends, proposing activity adjustments, and contributing to strategic planning.
- Collaborate with local retail outlets to ensure seamless communication regarding contractor orders, inventory levels, and promotional activities.
- Collect and verify signed confirmation forms from stores, ensuring proper documentation for audit purposes.
- Continuously expand personal network within the construction ecosystem, including consultants, developers, architects, and contractors, to generate new business opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (D4) in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Age limit: 35 years or younger.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in sales, preferably within the building‑materials or construction industry.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Proficiency in digital reporting tools and CRM/ERP systems for accurate data entry and analysis.
- Established network of contacts among consultants, developers, architects, and contractors.
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to timely documentation.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 16:30, including travel to various project sites.
