Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Senior Product Developer – R&D to join our dynamic research and development team. In this role, you will lead the creation and optimization of chemical formulations, guiding projects from initial laboratory trials through to full‑scale commercial production. The position offers a collaborative environment where analytical rigor, creativity, and continuous improvement are highly valued.
Our R&D division focuses on surfactants, detergents, and a wide range of specialty chemicals used in home‑care and personal‑care applications. You will work directly under the guidance of the R&D Lead, translating briefings into robust, market‑ready products while ensuring compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory formulation trials in accordance with R&D Lead specifications and project timelines.
- Prepare product samples for internal evaluation and for presentation to customers, ensuring consistency and repeatability.
- Perform stability, compatibility, and performance testing using standard analytical techniques (e.g., titration, spectrophotometry).
- Document all experimental procedures, raw data, and outcomes in a systematic, auditable manner.
- Support scale‑up activities by transferring successful lab formulations to pilot‑scale and full‑production environments.
- Research and evaluate alternative raw materials to reduce cost without compromising product quality.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for laboratory chemicals, reagents, and consumables.
- Generate comprehensive trial reports, analyze results, and provide actionable recommendations for formulation improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Marketing—to align product development with business objectives.
- Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact product strategy.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or Chemical Analysis. A D3 qualification is also acceptable when paired with relevant experience.
- Age: up to 30 years (maximum). No gender restriction.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in R&D or manufacturing labs; fresh graduates with a strong academic record are encouraged to apply.
- Solid understanding of surfactant and detergent formulation principles.
- Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and safety protocols.
- Advanced Excel skills for data recording, formula development, and chart creation; comfort working with data‑driven decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to document experiments and analyze trial data systematically.
- Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of working both independently and within a team.
- Preferred: experience in home‑care or personal‑care product development, analytical techniques such as titration and spectrophotometry, stability testing protocols, and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo).
Benefits
- Competitive salary package with performance‑based incentives.
- Comprehensive health insurance covering medical, dental, and vision.
- Professional development budget for trainings, conferences, and certifications.
- Modern laboratory facilities equipped with state‑of‑the‑art analytical instruments.
- Flexible working schedule: Monday‑Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime for critical project phases.
- Team building activities, wellness programs, and employee recognition events.
- Opportunity to work on innovative chemical products that impact daily consumer life.
