Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize all kitchen equipment, including plates, glasses, pots, pans, and cooking utensils, using both manual methods and industrial dishwashing machines.
- Maintain a pristine kitchen and back‑of‑house (BOH) area by regularly sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
- Operate and monitor the dishwasher machine, ensuring correct loading, proper detergent use, and adherence to cycle times.
- Collect, sort, and dispose of waste according to the restaurant’s waste‑management policies, keeping workstations hygienic at all times.
- Assist the kitchen crew with basic operational tasks such as restocking clean dishes, transporting supplies, and preparing simple mise‑en‑place items.
- Store cleaned utensils and equipment in designated areas to prevent cross‑contamination and streamline workflow.
- Uphold strict hygiene and food‑safety standards, conducting routine checks for cleanliness, temperature control, and equipment integrity.
- Report any malfunctioning equipment or safety hazards promptly to the supervisor for immediate corrective action.
- Participate in regular deep‑cleaning schedules, including floor scrubbing, vent cleaning, and sanitation of hard‑to‑reach areas.
- Collaborate closely with chefs, line cooks, and other support staff to ensure a smooth, coordinated service during peak hours.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Must be 30 years old or younger.
- Gender: Male candidates only.
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional dishwashing or stewarding experience, preferably in a high‑volume restaurant environment.
