Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant – Audit Inventory to join our dynamic finance team. This full‑time position is based in our Jakarta office and plays a critical role in supporting the accuracy and integrity of our subcontractor inventory records. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, possess a solid foundation in accounting principles, and be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment where precision and timeliness are essential.
The role offers exposure to both routine accounting tasks and specialized audit activities, providing a valuable stepping stone for recent graduates or individuals looking to deepen their expertise in inventory control and audit documentation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an organized filing system for all subcontractor (Subcont) documentation, ensuring easy retrieval for audits and internal reviews.
- Calculate and verify the value of subcontractor stock items, applying appropriate accounting standards and valuation methods.
- Prepare and distribute monthly subcontractor inventory reports, highlighting variances, trends, and any discrepancies identified.
- Conduct regular stock opname (physical inventory counts) for subcontractor materials, reconciling physical counts with system records.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues, such as misplaced items or incorrect postings.
- Assist the internal audit team by providing necessary documents, explanations, and supporting data during audit cycles.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., MYOB, SAP, or equivalent) to record transactions, generate reports, and ensure data integrity.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and external regulations related to inventory and financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, such as automating repetitive tasks or enhancing record‑keeping procedures.
- Participate in weekly finance meetings, presenting findings and updates on inventory status.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent, with a focus on Accounting (Akuntansi).
- Male candidates only; age not exceeding 30 years.
- Zero to two years of relevant experience; fresh graduates with strong academic records are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in document auditing, inventory control, and basic management accounting.
- Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset with an eye for detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial data.
