Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for leading Supplier Management within GE Healthcare Indonesia project, including both supplier capability and quality responsibilities across supplier selection, development and monitoring activities. In addition to activities on NPI programs and quality improvement projects, this role support process improvement projects, ensuring cross functions consistency where appropriate. This position works closely with Sourcing, Manufacturing Operations, Product Management and Engineering to deliver quality products to our customers with a total cost mindset.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development & execution of Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Development strategies and performance for the aligned SBU, by designing, implementing, and improving Supplier Quality processes to ensure Supplier Quality compliance to GEHC QMS, regulatory requirements and overall process improvement.
  • Responsible for execution of QMS/compliance requirements associated with Supplier Management. This includes supplier audit execution to plan and support of internal and external audits.
  • Drive and own supplier qualifications, Supplier corrective action plans, Supplier audits, performance monitoring of key suppliers and drive towards Industry standards of excellence.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Category & Modality Sourcing Leaders and zonal Supplier management engineers to identify and develop Part as well as suppliers while executing NPIs / Supplier transfers
  • Interface with Suppliers, Engineering, Service, Manufacturing and Sourcing to deliver improvements that minimize the Costs of Quality related to Factory defects, Field Failures, including Failed on Arrival/Install (FOA/FOI) issues.
  • Support improvement in Supplier Management processes through digitization and simplification partnering with SM process and compliance team
  • Responsible for key Supplier Management deliverables including DPPM, SCARs, SCRs and NPI and Transfer launch quality.
  • Communicate with internal stake holders and coordinate with Sourcing and Suppliers about progress related to quality issues causing fulfilment and speed up necessary actions to ensure no business disruptions
  • Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in Supplier Quality engineering, Manufacturing process engineering or project management.
  • Experience in any one of the Electronics Manufacturing processes, Design, Quality Assurance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet development and analysis
  • Excellent leadership skills demonstrating cross-functional teamwork and understand factors impacting GEHC business, The SBU, Engineering and suppliers
  • Effective problem solving, root-cause analytical skills to lead and influence others to drive change (cross-functionally and globally)
  • Influence/communication - establishes good relationships; drives continuous improvement across functional & global boundaries
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally

Desired Characteristics

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies and in-depth understanding of site level products and related processes. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills
  • Demonstrates expertise to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization around concepts of design controls, design verification and validation activities; production and process controls; Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), complaints and risk management; & product quality improvement using tools such as six sigma, DFR, etc.
  • Demonstrates ability to lead, acknowledge, develop, communicate and implement a strategy to ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrates collaboration, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent oral communication and report, business correspondence and procedure-writing skills.
