Key accountabilities for detailed design phase
To assist with various investigation/ assessment to understand the impact of technical interpretation to the current solution and propose solutions.
To assist with the system/ process implementation to meet IFRS 17 data/ process requirements as a result from technical interpretation
To assess and document the future IFRS 17 reporting process according to the regional office’s requirement and translate it into Prudential Indonesia’s processes and controls
To assess and document the process and controls for the opening Balance Sheet
To understand the current accounting system (sunGL) and how it will be updated/ reconfigured to be align with IFRS 17 requirements from the regional office
To assist the work related to transition, for instances: populating the historical information, monitor and review the development of the tools, proposing solutions when data is unavailable
Manage the team within the workstream assigned to ensure that the deliverables can be provided in a timeline basis
Develop business requirements for disclosure and reporting.
Redesign the posting rules of business events and mapping to sub-ledger.
Design mapping of Chart of Accounts in sub-ledger to the regional’s Chart of Accounts in General Ledger
Support data architecture and design
For future phases of the programme
This role will work with development and implementation teams on configuration of SUN GL, sub ledger and testing of reporting and related reconciliation controls and business readiness activities in implementation phases.
For all phases of the programme
Work closely with other work-stream teams to support them in syndicating, validating and implementing accounting processes.
Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders.
Work with stakeholders to ensure subject matter experts input and review subledger work stream deliverables.
Work closely with the project team, including the Data, Systems and Actuarial work streams where the delivery of work-stream requires multidisciplinary collaboration
Build and manage relationships with key local contacts / stakeholders
Provide insight on industry practices to stakeholders to facilitate project deliverables
Manage vendors
Candidate Specifications :
At least three years of experience in insurance accounting/ projects, such as Insurance Finance change management, life insurance consulting or life insurance reporting/ accountings.
A strong leader with a proven track record on large scale projects within a highly complex hierarchy/functional organisation across multiple jurisdictions.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills – experience working with senior executives is preferred.
A demonstrable interest in IFRS 17; Solvency II knowledge would be beneficial.
Comfortable working with uncertainty, highly adaptable.
General Ledger implementation experience preferably SUN GL experience.
Knowledge of Sun GL functionality is preferable.
Fluent in both spoken and written English (ability to speak one or more Asian languages desirable)
Willing to travel (although not extensively)
Qualified accountant.
