The Big Picture:
Howden is looking for an influential, forward thinking leader to take on the exciting and challenging role of Senior Sales & Country Manager for our recently established Howden Indonesia team.
As our Senior Sales & Country Manager, you will:
Be responsible for creating and driving the growth strategy for Howden products in Indonesia.
Consistently deliver profitable growth by providing our customers with valued solutions by developing business plans, budgets and forecasts by product and market/vertical, securing new customers and supporting existing customers.
Be responsible for the sales and profit margin of Howden products and services sold in Indonesia and manage our Regional Sales Managers locally.
Engage with our customer’s and stakeholder’s senior management to develop existing and new market opportunities.
Be responsible to plan, direct, manage and lead the Howden Indonesia office and take full responsibility of Howden Indonesia’s local compliance to all rules, regulations and legislation.
The focus of the role will be on Howden’s continued and growing presence in the Power, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas (PCOG) and Mining sectors, as well as developing our business in the Industrial, Infrastructure & Mobility and Renewable Energy sectors in Indonesia.

What needs to be done?
Develop sales strategies, prepare annual budgets, track and authorise expenditure and effect necessary financial controls to ensure that the region meets or exceeds the agreed annual targeted bookings, sales, project margin and profitability.
Develop and implement company policies, procedures, company business systems, long term goals and objectives to manage and meet business and profitability growth objectives within the region and Howden globally.
Build our company image by collaborating with customers, government organisations and Howden associates.
Develop, review, update and implement strategic business planning, including sales and financial performance.
Preparation and review of financial statements (local compliance and internal Howden), sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas that need improvement.
Lead and direct the Howden Indonesia team considering the functional organisation in place.
Manage the Howden Indonesia office related to finance and administration, payroll, inter-company transactions, monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting and general matters.
Manage all local compliance of Howden Indonesia to ensure Howden Indonesia complies to all local rules, regulations and legislations, whilst adhering to all Howden Group policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
Support the set-up of service centre facilities when and where required in the country.

What do you need to bring?
You possess exceptional leadership skills and experience in developing and building high performing teams through coaching and influencing and you’re comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
You’re energetic and motivated with a passion for excellence and innovation in the pursuit of business growth and success.
You’re a team player, developing good working relationships at all levels. Your experience in influencing and gaining credibility both upwards and downwards and networking internally and externally ensures your ability to secure buy-in from key stakeholders.
Exceptional communication skills are a must, along with the ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making in a fast paced business environment. You’ll display strong negotiation, conflict management and time management skills.
Educated to degree level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
Significant business experience including general senior sales, product and service management.
Experience handling sales and service companies, workshop, as well as complex retrofit projects.
Demonstrated management experience and experience of overseeing technical projects & in managing sales channels.
Demonstrated experience in various disciplines including negotiation skills, commercial, financial, procurement and mechanical.
Experienced in managing a local company including P&L responsibilities.
Excellent MS Office skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Projects
The following would also be very highly regarded:
Previous experience in the heavy industrial manufacturing industry for air & gas handling equipment
Knowledge of ISO and OHS standards
Relevant local language skills
