ByteDance is seeking a Head of Public Policy to lead ByteDance's policy strategy and engagement in Indonesia. The Public Policy team works collaboratively to promote a political, legislative and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for the business, while contributing to global and national socio-economic impact objectives.

Responsibility
  • Engage, build and maintain deep relationships with national policymakers and key external stakeholders.
  • Represent ByteDance in high-level meetings with key stakeholders and advance ByteDance's policy goals.
  • Advise leadership and relevant cross-functional teams on public policy matters to inform business decisions and guide development of policies, products and services.
  • Design and lead a long-term strategic and actionable policy strategy for Indonesia to create socio-economic impact
  • Offer deep insights and analyse significant and emerging policy issues, and develop proactive strategies to solve policy challenges
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of significant experience either working with or in government, politics or a regulatory agency in Indonesia
  • Established deep relationships with national policymakers and diverse set of key opinion leaders
  • Proven track record of collaborative approach to problem solving, experience operating effectively with cross-functional partners, and advising senior executives on policy matters
  • Experience analysing complex and/or new and emerging policy issues
  • Experience in people management
  • Experience communicating effectively and strategically at all levels
