Liaise with internal stakeholders and intercompany customer to understand existing and future demands and obtain appropriate information to prepare capacity and load chart simulation
Communicate plans and forecasts to internal stakeholders and review plans to ensure efficient resource utilization
Support meetings supplying relevant data, provide updates on plans and highlight concerns relating to actual or potential issues
Work with material planner and production planner to follow up on department KPI such as OTD and projected loading plan
Analyze latest production capacity and fix production order start and finished dates
Monitor and update intercompany customers on progress of open orders
Escalate any issues to Manager or others in the organization particularly when there is risk which could prevent the organization meeting customer demands or when there is an overloaded situation
Create capacity plans which meet business targets and optimize manufacturing efficiency and costs
Analyze customer requirement, capacity and undertake appropriate calculations to estimate resources including but not limited to labors
Continually monitor and review plans and make appropriate adjustments in the event of changes and unforeseen circumstances
Reconcile variances from original plans and maintain a view of actual load against projection
Continually review ways in which to make improvements and make the capacity planning and manufacturing process more efficient
Minimum Job Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a capacity planner/scheduler (less experience candidate with an excellent attributes and skillsets would also be considered)
Familiar with SAP and MRP system
Excellent in MS excel and managing data sheets and charts
Strong analytical and numeracy, statistical and reporting skills with the ability to analyze, interpret and manage data and trends
Fluent in English both oral and written
Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate complex concepts to others and able to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
Possess related experience and good track record and good behavior is the most important
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering/equivalent is preferred but not a must
Has a training and or an experience related to Lean Six Sigma Green/yellow Belt
Has CPIM/CSCP certification will an advantage
