Job Description:

  • To ensure that the likes EHS manual, policy, objectives are reviewed at site.
  • To carry out self-assessment of various EHS chapters Under EHS management system in Curve involving respective chapter owner.
  • To Publish MAP & obtain signatures of superiors & business leaders.
  • To monitor due date adherence for published MAP.
  • To publish Training calendar & conduct I facilitate training sessions on EHS&S topics.
  • To carry out safety inspection rounds & internal assessments to ensure various systems & procedures are adhered to as per applicable regulatory & statutory regulations.
  • To act as Management Representative for ISO 14001 certification process.
  • To work towards meeting the organizational objectives & goals.
  • Organize & lead National safety week, Environment day, Energy week, etc. for generating awareness & sustaining focus on EHS management system.
  • To conduct audits & arrange environmental surveillance involving external agency.
  • To file annual returns to local regulatory authorities & comply with their requirements.
  • To periodically update EHS&S dashboards.
  • To work on community outreach projects.
  • To participate in safety & other awards sponsored by state & national level authorities.
  • To conduct the management review as per the documented procedures.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME), train and coach others.
  • Observes & promotes all regulatory requirements as defined per applicable regulations, Rules & procedures established by the Company, and notified any violation or deviation to the immediate supervisor or appropriate authority.
  • Complies with all training requirements to perform duties of the job.
  • Ensure adherence/compliance to Records Management policies and procedures, as applicable appropriate frequency.
  • To carry out incident investigation & suggest resource for prevention initiate.
  • Study impact on aspects relating to EHS before authorizing engineering change notice

Qualification:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
  • Requires minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Conversant with principles & regulations of industrial safety & occupational health.
  • Intimate knowledge of the appropriate environmental legislation/ regulations of the country and region (state) where the company is located.
  • Knowledge of impacts of industrial operations on the environment- air pollution, wastewater, hazardous & non-hazardous waste management, toxic chemical management, emergency response and protection of ground and surface water.
  • Knowledge of Pollution prevention and control methods, Environmental management systems, including ISO14001.
  • Should be able to demonstrate competency in management of EHS audits including self-assessment, regulatory audits & in continuous improvement.
  • Shall be able to use statistical tools to analyze EHS data, taking corrective and preventive actions.
  • Knowledge of EHS risk Assessment and ability to analyze types of risks & its mitigation.
  • Knowledge of EHS compliances and able to interpret, review, integrate its requirements.
  • Ability to find sustainability challenges & opportunities for business improvement.
  • Ensuring EHS communication internal as well as external and conducting& developing training need identification for all concerns related to EHS&S.
