Your Title: Emerging Markets Manager Job Location: Remote - Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, or India
Our Department: Agriculture What You Will Do
As the Emerging Markets Manager, you are responsible for investigating, creating, and applying the most efficient and productive growth strategy for the emerging markets of SE Asia and SAARC region. Working with the regional sales and marketing managers, you will be a key stakeholder in the market and sales strategy, but also a key contributor to the product marketing group, ensuring that the regional needs for new and existing products are visible. You will be the lead for new strategic projects and collaborations with governments, enterprises, aid agencies, as well as current and new Trimble dealers. Working with the RSM for execution and closing.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of regional trends and business opportunities within the agriculture industry
  • Investigate, create, document, and articulate a strategic plan for growth in the region
  • Be able to interact comfortably and confidently with government, aid agencies, and enterprise-sized customers
  • As a strategically-focused individual contributor, you will work in a team environment and collaborate with sales, marketing communication, and technical staff
  • Be able to balance the requirements of the developing markets, and the Trimble Ag division, for the best mutual outcome
  • Maintain a cadence of updates to the local team and management on challenges and opportunities
  • Attend and contribute to global company calls
  • Always portray a professional company image

  • Existing expertise in the Ag market and practices in the region
  • Strategic and well-organized thinker
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences
  • Highly motivated with a sense of urgency when required to drive to a conclusion
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks while working remotely and autonomously

What Experience You Should Have
  • Demonstrated experience within the agriculture market as a sales or marketing professional, Asia market preferred
  • Prefer competencies in precision farming and agriculture technologies
  • Proven skills round strategy building and sales network development
  • Fluent English is a requirement, and ideally, a second language is spoken in the SE Asia/South Asia region
  • Degree in business, strategy, or similar experience in lieu of a degree
About Your Location This is a remote position that will require up to 75% travel, at times, throughout the region. About Our Agriculture Division The Agriculture division builds precision farming systems, including displays and automated guidance systems for agricultural vehicles. Farmers use our guidance systems to automatically steer their tractors with highly accurate GPS/GNSS-based control. Our display systems automatically control farm implements performing operations like planting seeds, spraying fertilizer, and measuring crop yield in an optimal way based on soil conditions and agronomist prescriptions. Our displays send the farm data to our web-based farm and fleet management system Trimble Agriculture business software. We save water, fuel, chemicals, and time and increase crop yields along the way. Driving efficiency and profitability in the field, we offer field solutions for vehicles and implement guidance and steering; flow and application control; irrigation, drainage, land leveling, land forming, terraces, and waterways; harvest and yield monitoring; and a broad suite of correction services to meet your accuracy needs.
