Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • 9 years of experience in a leadership role within consumer marketing at a blue-chip consumer packaged goods, consumer electronics, consumer technology company, or consulting experience at a firm.
  • Experience in management of projects through the complete lifecycle.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Bahasa fluently.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience analyzing and distilling data, including market and user behavior, into actionable insights and relevant opportunities.
  • Experience in creating campaigns that drive engagement and tap into the cultural conversation.
  • Understanding and interest in the consumer technology space (i.e., globally and in Southeast Asia).
  • Ability to influence a wide audience at all levels and work effectively across functions and geographies.
  • Ability to lead non-hierarchical, cross-functional working teams.

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As Head of Consumer Marketing, you will focus on product marketing for Google's products including Search, Google Assistant, Map, etc. You will work closely with product teams on product development, lead the local team in areas such as creative strategy, research, creative development, media and measurement across all paid channels, owned and operated channels. You'll closely lead and work with multiple cross-functional teams including global/regional/local product marketers, data science, partnerships, PR, policy, and with Google’s media and agency partners.

Responsibilities

  • Set the goals and direction to drive user growth, usage, engagement, and brand love for Search in Indonesia.
  • Bring our portfolio of consumer products to life for consumers via storytelling, experiences, programs, and campaigns.
  • Partner effectively with Product Marketing, Product and Engineering teams, Partner Marketing, and Regional Marketing stakeholders to share best-practices, orchestrate go-to-market campaigns, and deliver excellent brand/product experiences.
  • Ensure the consumer is consistently represented and incorporated into the product team’s thinking.
  • Showcase performance based on clear progress metrics and measurable impact of ongoing work.
