Job Description

Work Type: Full Time

  • Bachelor’s degree Physic Engineering or Electrical or electronics
  • 7+ years in Instrumentation design layout and design experience relating to the upstream/downstream oil & gas market, petrochemical, chemical or others
  • Knowledge of Logic design and specification of Emergency Shutdown (ESD/SIS) Systems and experience with commissioning and knowledge of standards API, ISA, IEC

Overview / Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership and promote effective behavioral safety and timely investigations of Safety / Environmental
    accidents.
  • Ensure that Plant Integrity, Safety, Hygiene and Environmental risks are minimized through implementing
    designed plant improvements, plant maintenance activities and compliance with license conditions.
  • Achieve and improve on targets for Plant Uptime by implementing Planned Maintenance, Conditioning Monitoring
    (Predictive Maintenance) and Preventative Maintenance Routines.
  • Improve Plant Performance by identifying high repetitive cost equipment failures and implementing plant
    modifications to eliminate root cause of failure.
  • Assist in the Planning of Plant Shutdowns to ensure maintenance work, statutory inspects and modifications are completed safely and cost effectively in the shutdown window.
  • Provide the technical support to the Shutdown Team when required.
  • Familiar with the followings system and equipment’s:
  • SIS (Safety Instrumented System)
  • Instrument Maintenance Procedures
  • Management of Change process
  • Gas Detectors
  • Instrument Profibus and Hart (all field instruments such as pressure, flow, temperature, analyser & level transmitters, etc)
  • Bentley Nevada
  • Fire & Gas System
  • CCTV /PADuties usually include work and assisting leader on new control systems/instrument design, existing systems,selecting and purchasing equipment, solving problems, making sure that all systems comply with quality standards and the relevant health and safety regulations, and managing instrumentation.
  • Responsible for specifications and data sheets, detailed engineering documents including the preparation of the design basis document, Bill of Quantities, Block Diagrams, Functional Logic Diagrams, Nozzle Elevation drawings.
  • Inputs & Review of cable routing, control room layouts, Loop Diagrams, Terminations Diagrams, Installation Hookup Drawings, Instrument layout, Control Panel Drawings, Cable Schedules, Instrument index , I/O list , and other design and layout calculations and drawings.
  • Familiar with Root cause analysis methods.
  • Familiar with CMMS (SAP preferable)
