The European Account position is an important role which supports the European Finance team in the accounting and controlling of the European Holding Company.

The role is very broad in remit, ranging from monthly reporting to annual budgeting, ad-hoc analysis and interactions with the country Finance teams.

Working at NTT

  • Take responsibility for organising and the booking of invoices (outgoing and incoming) with correct cost centres, general ledger accounts and specific tax rules
  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Balance Sheet accounting, bank bookings, clearing of accounts, VAT
  • reporting, and statistical LZB for DE Bundesbank
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting queries and requesting information from
  • European entities
  • Assist with cost break down analysis and recovery of costs to other company
  • entities per transfer pricing rules
  • Assist and Complete the Yearly Transfer Pricing Files in accordance with OECD Guidelines
  • Assist the European finance team in monthly reporting and statutory reporting requirements
  • Work closely with the business application teams to learn and optimise

programs and workflows for ease of financial information

  • Assist local operations on occasion with specific assignments – for example month end closing, clean-up of specific accounting issues, specific business analysis etc.

What will make you a good fit for the role?

Essential:

  • Accountant (or business equivalent) with degree
  • At least 2 years relevant working experience
  • Professional/business skills experience in understanding business structures
  • Understanding of financial tools and systems such as SAP, is a must and BPC is a plus
  • Hardworking, results driven individual, able to work independently and in a virtual team
  • Outstanding analytical skills as well as very good communication skills
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English, any other major European language spoken within the region - German
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload plus flexibility to work outside normal contract hours when required.

  • Focused on accuracy and quality of delivery.
