We are currently recruiting for a Construction Engineer (Structural or Mechanical) to join the South Sulawesi Office of a growing engineering consulting business.
Construction Engineer (Structural or Mechanical)
In this role, you will primarily be responsible
JOB DESCRIPTION (Structural)
Working as a member of the Construction Management (CM) team the Lead Construction Engineer is responsible for understanding the full scope of the Furnace #4 Rebuild (‘EF4R’) project, and the related EF4 Mechanised Slag Skimming Drill project.
Take a leading role in modelling and observing Health & Safety behaviour. Participate in constructability planning and review sessions as input to the Contractor’s plan for pre-shut and shutdown work scopes.
Check and challenge the Main Construction Contractor’s construction plan for resourcing, effectiveness and efficiency, and to monitor the plan implementation. Highlight variances compared to the plan and participate in identifying and selecting corrective actions.
Review Contractor’s ITP’s. Ensure ‘Hold’ and ‘Witness’ points are verified.
Investigate and answer the Request for Information (RFI) and Field Work Instruction (FWI) procedures for Mechanical work during construction.
Maintain a daily diary of activities and events on site
JOB DESCRIPTION (Mechanical)
Working as a member of the Construction Management (CM) team the Mechanical Construction Engineer is responsible for understanding the full Mechanical scope of the Furnace #4 Rebuild (‘EF4R’) project, and the related EF4 Mechanised Slag Skimming Drill project.
Take a role in modelling and observing Health & Safety behaviour.
Monitor the implementation of the Main Construction Contractor’s Mechanical construction plan for resourcing, effectiveness and efficiency.
Review Contractor’s ITP’s. Ensure ‘Hold’ and ‘Witness’ points are verified through onsite inspections.
Investigate and answer the Request for Information (RFI) and Field Work Instruction (FWI) procedures for Mechanical work during construction.
Maintain a daily diary of activities and events on site.
KEY REQUIREMENT
(Structural)
Experience: 10 to 20 years – preferably in Heavy Industrial (Nickel) site projects.
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
Good English (speaking and literacy) skills.
Proficient in MS suite of Apps – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.
The construction is 24/7 construction, with 7-day dayshift coverage required from team (rostered with the Construction Manager and other Construction Leads and Engineers).
(Mechanical)
Experience: 5-10 years – preferably in Heavy Industrial (Nickel) site projects.
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical).
Good English (speaking and literacy) skills.
Proficient in MS suite of Apps – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.
The construction is 24/7 construction, with 7-day dayshift coverage required from team (rostered with the Senior Construction Engineer and other Mechanical Construction Engineers from the CM team).
