ERM is seeking experienced and enthusiastic professionals for its Liability Portfolio Management & Remediation (LPMR) Team. The primary goal of this role is to drive the planning, managing, and execution of various projects and ensuring that the Client’s expectations are met or exceeded through technical excellence, innovation, and efficiency. The successful candidate, who is expected to have a solid technical background, will be assigned in multi-disciplinary projects within the Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Information Technology Sectors, to name a few. Typical projects that he/she will be managing include Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Environmental Due Diligence Audits, Regulatory Reviews, Contaminant Delineation (Fate & Transport Assessment), Contaminant Monitoring, Contaminated Land Recovery or Remediation, Stakeholder Engagement, Regulatory Engagement, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Desktop Responsibilities include, but not limited to, proposal, pre-project and technical report management and preparation. Proposal preparation includes procurement reviews and approvals (supplier/subcontractor selection, coordination with suppliers/subcontractors, requests for quotation and negotiation, etc.), resourcing, scheduling, and proposal draft preparation. Pre-project preparation includes logistics reviews (supplier/subcontractor coordination and client/project site coordination), scheduling, work plan reviews, health & safety documents preparation, budget reviews, etc. Report preparation includes review of 'report-ready' field data (including data review and verification, calculations, and interpretations. etc., photo-documentation, and quality assurance and control), report draft preparation, and peer review.

  • Field Responsibilities (optional) include, but not limited to, subcontractor supervision (if applicable), health and safety supervision, performance of the technical scopes of a project, site coordination and permitting, and periodic reporting to the Project Manager. Technical scopes of the project may include environmental media sampling (soil, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, air, etc.), field observation logging (photo-documentation, field sheets, etc.).

  • Supervision and management of junior consultants and consultants, subcontractors, or supplier schedule, resourcing and budget.

  • Active Leadership Audits

  • Team resource planning and scheduling

  • Project-level direct client interaction and coordination.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, chemistry, geology, hydrogeology, or any science or engineering-related discipline (Master's degree is a plus).

  • At least 5 to 10 years of experience in environmental consultancy.

  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; must have advanced experience in writing detailed technical data and reports.

  • Advanced to specialized knowledge in contaminated site management and characterization, its basic elements including geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, contaminant fate and transport, and conceptual site model.

  • Advanced to specialized knowledge of relevant environmental regulatory requirements, policies and compliance.

  • Strong commitment to safety, including compliance to established Health & Safety protocols.

  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal to no supervision.

  • Interpersonal skills and team-oriented.

  • Very good to excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar).

  • Environmental field work experience and H&S certification is a plus.
