About the Role
As our Sales Strategy Senior Associate, you’ll be an instrumental cog in the Sales Strategy wheel of Gojek that directly impacts one of the company’s main pillars: our merchant-partners. You'll take the reins in formulating strategies and executing initiatives that will expand GoFood's revenue primarily through merchant quality improvement. The Enterprise and SMB Sales teams will be your companions during this ride. You will have ample opportunity to flex and hone in on your business strategy, multi-tasking, analytical, and time-management skills, catering to the day-to-day needs and issues of our beloved merchants-partners, and ensuring they get the attention, experience, and opportunities they deserve.
What You Will Do
Develop strategies and oversee initiatives to ensure merchant growth through design & execution of campaigns, advertisements, and business expansion initiatives
Articulate insights to relevant stakeholders in HQ along with recommended actions
Work with cross functional teams to execute on initiatives arising from insights generated
Support sales teams in performing analysis to enable data driven decision making
Liaise with region heads to collect on-the-ground insights as feedback to on-going initiatives
Provide periodic and ad-hoc reports to senior management
What You Will Need
At least 4 years of relevant work experience in strategy, operations or management consulting
A structured and analytical thinking process to develop project framework and prioritization
Strong business sense and ability to articulate complex analysis results to a wide range of audiences and translate the results to actionable business insights
Strong track record of stakeholder management
Proficiency in basic modelling - Excel or Google Sheet
Proficiency in basic presentation - PowerPoint or Google Slides
Experience with SQL/query is preferred but not essential

Share about what it is like to work within your team Our Sales Strategy Team consists of 7 people based in Jakarta, Indonesia, or as we like to call ourselves: The Super Seven. As Gado-Gado is to the people of Indonesia, we are to Gojek: providing the nourishment to sustain our business from the inside out. The gist of our role is to be the main liaison between our merchant-partners and our Product Teams, and work to create the overall go-to market plan and strategy for all merchant segments within Gojek. It’s our job to ensure that our solutions effectively meet the needs of our merchant-partners, reducing their daily frictions and ensuring they have a seamless, enjoyable experience using our services.
One of our recent proud moments is our success in growing merchant-partners’ business and ultimately GoFood business as well. It took a village to achieve this by closely coordinating with other relevant teams (i.e., demand generation, marketing, ads/ promotech etc) on designing & executing the best construct for each merchant segment. It was an exciting journey with clear impact for our merchant-partners.
We are a highly flexible team that holds each individual accountable for their own delivery of KRs and initiatives. We operate through Zoom calls (30%), WhatsApp (30%), Asana and Slack (40%). As a team, we’re concerned not only with the growth of the company, but each other’s personal growth and well-being, too; we enjoy bonding over our shared love of good food and hilarious memes (a peek at our WhatsApp group would probably just show a whole collection of memes we've sent each other). With WFH becoming more normalized, you best believe we’ve been sharing our favorite ways to prioritize a healthy work-life balance at home (Netflix marathons, anyone?).
