Job Responsibilities General responsibilities:
  • Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable
  • Oversee the implementation of safety, health and environmental practices to ensure alignment to global DKSH safety policy and local/international safety standards
  • Manage regular occupational safety, health and environment inspections; implement appropriate corrective actions to ensure potential safety issues and environmental incidents are eliminated
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation and closure or eventual correction and prevention of incidents and accidents
  • Oversee the alignment of waste management and disposal procedures with environmental laws and regulations of government bodies
  • Lead initiatives to ensure workplace conditions which affect health and safety of employees are corrected or mitigated with control procedures
  • Ensure regular and continuous education of employees on relevant safety, health and environment policies, procedures and activities to ensure consistent implementation
  • Build relationships with government agencies and regulatory bodies on matters related to safety, health and environment
  • Collaborate with other functions i.e. Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management for the implementation of the policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the local laws and regulations
Leadership responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee team’s delivery of team/function goals to drive execution against goals set
  • Drive and manage learning and development of team in the area of Safety, Health and Environment and DKSH behaviors to achieve team/function goals
  • Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of Safety, Health and Environment and DKSH behaviors as part of continuous learning
Requirements Functional skills and knowledge:
  • Demonstrate good knowledge in Dangerous Goods Regulations and Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of the Global Harmonized System (GHS) and REACH
  • Demonstrate working knowledge, comprehension and application of local regulations on safety, health and environment
  • Proven know-how and knowledge in transport safety and dangerous goods management
  • Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken
Education:
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree
  • Certified training in industry QHSE Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment and regulatory standards
Work experience:
Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role
Minimum three years’ experience in a managerial capacity
