Indonesia-South Sulawesi-Makassar | Full-time | Permanent | Shift


Role Summary:

Supervise (on a daily basis) ground operations team on a roster shift basis, ensuring that shipments enter and exit the facility in accordance with our network procedures and transit time standards.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure incoming shipments are recovered, inspected and cleared in the quickest, most efficient manner possible, hand over processes of shipments and paperwork are normally operated and accurate sorting and optimum loading of all inbound & outbound shipments
  • Manage the allocation of appropriate resources, organize appropriate shifts and manning levels to meet business requirements
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the facility, equipment and infrastructure in accordance with regional guidelines and company image, Manage/monitor the DHL’s assets (including vehicle) within his/her area
  • Participate in quality policy and initiative and ensure safe working practices and environment within the shift
  • Ensure all service provided meet DHL’s requirement with develop a high performance service culture within the functional department.
  • Maintain good working relationships within the facility, good coordination and communication with other function as well, through daily working process and performance dialogue
  • Assist and monitor operations team to keep performance and meet target, through KPI and individual coaching and performance review
  • Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree (or equivalent)
  • 2-3 years operations experience and leading people, preferably within transportation or logistics industry
  • Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Communication skills (English), spoken and written
  • Well-developed planning and organization skills
  • Challenges self and others to exceed standards and achieve extraordinary results
  • Line Trainer certified, First Aid certified, IATA Dangerous Goods Acceptance Certification will be advantage
  • Willing to be based in Makassar, South Sulawesi
