Job Overview:

  • Provide supporting role to HSES Supervisors and HSES Coordinator/Manager in the performance of their functions.
  • Monitoring HSES Procedures implemented in the worksite, assisting in incident investigation and reporting and carry out HSES Yard Activity Plan in timely manner and record maintain.

Key Responsibility/Accountability:

  • Understand company philosophy and policy regarding Occupational Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Have a sound knowledge of Indonesia Statutory safety requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of the HSEMS and report on its implementation.
  • Provide input for the HSES procedures update.
  • Develop a working relationship with all employees with the aim of obtaining understanding on both sided of yard management requirements, this to include keeping safety equal with production and other responsibilities.
  • Be prepared to immediately respond in the event of calls for emergency assistance.
  • Assist initiate a medical of sick or injured employees.
  • Inform the HSES Supervisor immediately any reportable incident or notify HSES Manager immediately in the absence of HSES Coordinator and Supervisor.
  • Observe work groups for "at risk" behaviors and unsafe conditions
  • Intervene and advise workers if found committing unsafe acts.
  • Observe work groups for compliance with McDermott HSES Guidelines, procedures and local Safe Work Procedures.
  • Minor infringements may be dealt with at supervisory level.
  • Major infringements to be immediately notified to any HSES Supervisor.
  • Inspect work areas for unsafe conditions and advise persons responsible for these areas.
  • Observe condition of facility and equipment (cranes, forklifts etc), report deficiencies to relevant Supervisor.
  • If facility or equipment appears in dangerous condition, stop work and inform relevant Supervisor and HSES Supervisor.
  • Assist to maintain accurate records of personal injuries, equipment damage and near miss incidents.
  • Assist in incident investigation and produce a timely accurate report in the English language.
  • Following up corrective actions following accidents and inspections.
  • Coordinate Permit to Work issuance and maintain register in absence of PTW Clerk.
  • Gather useful information for Tool Box Safety Meetings, newsletters, and Bulletins.
  • Attend Employee HSE Committee Meeting as assigned by HSE Supervisor.
  • Report to HSES Supervisor.
  • Monitor and assist to both HSE department and field line supervision in the implementation of HSE programs.
  • Conduct HSE assessments for project and facility, ensure report provided and assist the Area in the facility inspection program.
  • Assume the duties of HSE Supervisor in his absence.
  • Spend a minimum 85% of time in the field monitoring overall compliance of the yard HSE Program and Procedures.
  • Observe/assist supervision during the delivery of Toolbox Talks.
  • Promote the HSES Programs, HIT, BBSM, Com Card etc. across the facility.
  • Monitor / update HSES Notice Boards and its information.
  • Attend training, HSES meetings and Project Meetings as and when directed.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and set an example to others.
  • Attend and assess Foreman in the conduct of HIT Card Process
  • High standard of safe working practice, disciplined, quality and productivity as well as compliance with the code of business conducts.
  • Support package Project HSES management plan throughout the campaign
  • Able to lead HSES in the field, with minimal supervision.
  • Identify & address HSES concerns immediately to ALARP level before activities.
  • Generate comprehensive report(s) required in the project, including audit.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications :

  • Under graduated Degree / Senior High School
  • Ahli K3 Umum certified
