Job Description

Location: Jakarta Jakarta

  • Technical design process
  • Good communication in English

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the design, PD merchandising team and vendors, to establish and apply the standards of fit and construction
  • Responsible for managing the adherence of the Time and Action calendars during the pre-production process
  • Validate sample submission per Time and Action calendar and execute timely
  • Frequently communicate with customers and track sample approval status; ensure on-time approval of samples
  • Able to drive products are developed in consistence with the established fit and quality standards, manufacturer’s capabilities
  • Manage the production of technical specification packages to deliver requirements for fit and construction from concept through to bulk production
  • Assess and appraise the sampling and pre-production capability of vendors within the technical development process, identifying areas of weakness and agreeing on continuous improvement programs
  • Assist the function to test and apply the latest techniques available to garment fit and construction so as to identify and capture the first mover advantage
Resolve fitting issues and provide customers and designers with professional advices
  • Apply effective systems of quality management for specific styles/task, both internally and with vendors, to support the development process and assure final product quality
  • Provide technical training support to the business and develop division associates to enhance their skill levels



Requirements:

  • A technical education in garment fit and construction to degree level or equivalent work experience
  • Practical experience of patternmaking and garment construction for bulk production
  • Ten years of technical experience, with at least 4 years in sourcing company
