This intermediate trainer is tasked with partnering with program subject matter experts to enhance the capacity-building program support and partnership leading to the design of effective learning processes, contextualizing content and delivering live learning events. Further, this incumbent may select, oversee, and evaluate training vendors to provide, develop, and/or deliver training interventions. At this career level, the incumbent generally conducts standard program learning projects independently or supports major and initiatives. Normally working within his or her assigned country, the trainer independently carries out a full learning cycle, including needs analysis, design & development, implementation and evaluation. He or she may coach other program trainers.
Responsibilities
Acts as an advocate for children. Understands and advances mandate to protect children. Raises awareness of the needs of children and takes active steps to help protect against neglect, abuse, and exploitation of children. Promotes the dignity, respect, positive treatment, potential of children in all circumstances. Encourages the involvement of others in helping children in need. Reports and appropriately supports responses to incidents of harm of children if they occur.
Contextualizes training material for individual FCPs (Frontline Church Partners) and maintains training materials for FCP or field offices. Further, prepares for and addresses student inquiries about subject matter. Delivers content in skill based training in multiple/varied subject areas.
Delivers formal and informal learning solutions including areas such as child development, child protections, and health interventions. Combines platform delivery and a variety of facilitation skills to create meaningful and engaging group experiences. Develops and implements activities to contextualize content and reinforce key learnings and assess effectiveness. Assesses and reports learner performance and training transfer. Compiles and assesses data to measure performance and program effectiveness.
Creates a dynamic learning environment to meet specific learning objectives, guiding participants, in small and medium group settings, through structured learning and interaction using various facilitation techniques, adjusting style as necessary for culture and knowledge level.
May participate in auditing and evaluating existing content, assesses needs and results, assists with development of new programs, modifies existing programs, or recommends changes as appropriate.
Plans and coordinates logistics for training events and delivers learning opportunities for small and medium. May select, oversee, and evaluate training and learning vendors to provide, develop, and/or deliver training for program employees or church partners.
Delivers globally and locally developed content through understanding local context and ministry culture, training on different platforms/blended learning (i.e. local, remote, large group, instructive, facilitative, computer-based training).
Coordinates and contextualizes learning approach with program staff to meet special learning needs of partners. Coordinates with stakeholder to ensure relevancy and simplifies and transfers program concepts, providing insight of emerging learning and development strategies and best practices to enhance the success of assigned learning programs.
May facilitate non-training program events such as team-building, strategic planning, brainstorming, or other group sessions for partners and local program staff. May coach other program trainers.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's Degree in this or related field.
Work Experience
Three years Experience working in this or similar position or field.

Working Environment: Office – Standard Office Environment
Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day
Travel Requirements: May be required to travel up to 40% of normal schedule
Other: May be required to travel to or work in non-standard environments in rural, semi-rural, and underdeveloped locations.
