As a member of the NAND Validation & Characterization (NVC), part of Non-Volatile Engineering (NVE) group, you are part of a team involving in engineering test development, pre/post silicon design validation, characterization & qualification and memory's early life fail rate evaluation of Micron's latest RG NAND memory products. You will be responsible for enabling Micron's NAND products with flawless and issue free release with compliance to datasheet and customer specification to both internal and external non-volatile system customers
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Identify alternate test platforms to improve test coverage, apply sophisticated customer use cases test sequences (including deterministic and random usage case) and improve test cost
  • Prepare bench programs, software tools, and hardware interfaces for initial silicon for new non-volatile semiconductor memory products, as well as supporting special requests for enabling silicon debug throughout the product lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain characterization and qualification test program based on datasheet and customer specification
  • Design novel test algorithms and develop test programs for validating NAND features and commands
  • Deploying Verilog/Synopsis VCS for new NAND devices simulation study and analysis, as well performing functional and design validation of new NAND on high-speed tester hardware.
  • Explore continual improvement in characterization and validation methodology aligned with the growth in customer requirement and higher data rate supported.
  • Monitor NAND performance during Assured Quality Level (AQL) and Advanced Early-life Fail Rate (AEFR) testing during product development and qualification
  • Perform Electrical Failure Analysis during the evaluations, and investigate root causes of reported device issues and collaborate with NAND Design, Application Engineering, Product and System teams to drive closure of device issues
  • Automate program development and work processes whenever possible.

Education:
  • Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering.
  • Course work or work experience in Python/C/C++, semiconductor physics, data analytics and statistics is required.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Effective interpersonal skills in written and spoken English, including documentation and presentation
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with careful attention to root cause
  • Proactive towards continuous improvement and self-development
  • Software development proficiency (e.g. C-based programming) and scripting (e.g. Perl, Python)
  • Memory product knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Automated Test Equipment and debug tools like oscilloscope and logic analyzer is a plus
  • Simulation software know-how (e.g. Verilog, Synopsis VCS) is a plus
