Job Description: Get to know our Team:
The Fulfilment Driver Experience team in Grab is responsible for empowering our driver- and delivery-partners with the technology that makes their earn-time more efficient. It is our responsibility to help our driver- and delivery-partners to get on boarded with ease, to have the most reliable and informative job experiences, to get the support they need to be successful on and off the platform.
The day-to-day activities:

Build and deploy performant modern web applications in React, Redux, Typescript. Together with maintaining excellent quality with Jest and Cypress.
Build and deploy performant cloud based backend services.
Have a thorough understanding of how to make the interaction between frontend and backend effective and secure.
Write high quality, bug-free, reusable, maintainable code both in frontend and backend. Actively participating in both code and design review
End-to-end development of your team’s products including ownership of the team’s infrastructure using Terraform, building and scaling back-end services, building intuitive and performant web applications as well as performing root cause analysis investigations
Be part of on-call for your team’s products and services, and participate in post-mortems for any incidents
Working in a regional organisation with offices across different countries and cultures and facilitating collaborating across these different teams.
Work with product managers, data analysts and product designers to implement products and features, and test their impact to business metrics.

Technical must haves:

Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms and multithreading, relational and non-relational databases
Proficient with at least one language commonly used for backend services development (C#, Java, C++, C, etc.), but willing to work on Golang and Rails
Hands-on experience with Javascript programming language and at least one modern JavaScript UI framework such as React, Angular, Ember, etc. used to develop Single Page Applications
Demonstrates a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure with hands-on experience being a plus.

Soft skills must haves:

Communicates competently in English
Excellent communication skills, sharp analytical abilities with proven design skills, ability to think critically system growth and stability

Nice-to-haves:

Hands-on experience with React/Redux
Hands-on experience with GraphQL
Hands-on experience with Go programming language
Hands-on experience with Ruby (Rails)
Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure
