The Assistant Purchasing Manager position will be based in Batam, Indonesia.
Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Develop and implement purchasing strategies
Manage daily purchasing activities
Manage supplier relations and negotiating contracts
Coordinate with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs
Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, internal teams such as supply chain, planning, and customers
Manage material supply chain situation and escalation
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the similar capacity
Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Demonstrates basic functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills
Demonstrates skills in functional/ technical area
Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, data entry, office software to include word processing, spreadsheets, presentation package and database systems
