Boart Longyear is the world's leading provider of drilling services, drilling equipment, and performance tooling for mining and drilling companies globally. Boart Longyear is a major mining contractor in Indonesia with a long and proud history supporting some of Indonesia’s landmark mining operations.

We are seeking a HR Professional who is passionate about applying best practice HR and wanting to be part of the leadership team in Indonesia. The role has recently been vacated and we want someone who will lead HR for the business in Indonesia. The successful applicant will ideally have the following profile:

A Bachelor Degree in Business (Human Resources, or related field)
A minimum of 5 years as the lead HR professional in a medium to large organisation;
Strong knowledge and understanding of Indonesian Manpower Law and Regulations;
Experience in heavy industry – Mining, Oil & Gas, Construction, Utilities;
Verbal and listening communication skills that allow open and honest discussions;
Experience with web based platforms for recruitment, talent management;
Ability to think critically;
Good written and verbal English skills.

Reporting to the HR Director – APAC in Australia, this role will support the people practices for Boart Longyear’s operations in Indonesia in the following ways:

Ensuring best practice HR procedures are adhered to;
Workforce planning for operational drilling contracts;
Resolution of Employee and Industrial Relations matters;
Recruitment procedures for all professional roles;
Compensation and Benefits management;
Ensuring Performance Management and Disciplinary practices are adhered to;
Supporting Organisational Design tools such as Position Descriptions;
Guiding and coaching managers on people related matters;
Hiring, training, and supervising staff;
Business reporting of HR practices;
Ability to collect, collate and analyze data;
Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality and protect sensitive HR information;
Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
